Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is that “every believer is a minister.” Ministry begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Church members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as pulling weeds, making meals for shut-ins, or painting a Sunday School room.

Mission Outreach

The Church of the Nazarene ministers through local churches in 157 world areas. We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means that we minister in our own church and our community (such as our monthly Breakfast Mission to Homeless), be part of a Work & Witness Team to serve short term in another world area, and/or by giving to Nazarene Compassionate Ministries or to World Evangelism Fund.

Music

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. We have a wonderful team of volunteer musicians who help us worship each week. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of our church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.

Media & Technology

Each week we need persons who are trained to run our sound system, and our video projection system. We want to make the best use of technology to help us share the gospel.

Teaching, Ushering, or Nursery Volunteer

There is a place of ministry for everyone. Each week we need a team of ushers to facilitate our Worship Service. We need volunteers to care for our infants in the nursery. We need teachers and assistant teachers to minister in our children, youth and adult Sunday School and mid-week classes. (We have screening and training protocols to assure the safety of our children and our workers.)

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Our Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer. Each Sunday morning, a small group gathers to pray for Pastor before the Worship Service. A group of men meet for prayer on the first and third Saturdays of the month at 7 AM, and on those same days, a group of ladies meet for prayer at 8 AM. We also have a prayer chain, which receives prayer requests and prays for them. Click the “Prayer Warriors” title to link to the prayer chain e-mail form.
