Pastor Judy Carney, Children's School
Director Pastor
Judy began working for the Children's School in September 2001 as a “part-time,
temporary, interim director,” but decided to accept a full time position a
few months later. Pastor Judy has five
years experience working in radio, 18 years experience in the banking
industry and over 25 years working as a volunteer in children’s
ministries. Pastor Judy left banking
full time and entered the ministry in 1996.
She is married and lives with her husband, daughter and cat in New

Pam Buxton, Food Service Director Mrs. Buxton was
hired in April 2006 as the aide in our three-year old Pre-Kindergarten
class. During the summer of 2007, Mrs.
Buxton assumed Food Service duties.
She now works as our Food Service Director. She is married with two children who are
graduates of the Children’s School. |

Kathy Reneker, Consultant & Receptionist Mrs.
Reneker serves as a consultant to our teachers and staff. She began working for the Children's School
in 1985, making her our most senior employee!! She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in
education from West Chester University,
where she also did two years of graduate work. Her teaching experience includes first
grade in the public school system, as well as owner and teacher of a nursery
school. Kathy is married with a grown
daughter, a stepdaughter and a grandson.

Delores Reese, Teacher – Kindergarten Class Mrs. Reese serves as the teacher of
our Kindergarten class. A graduate of Eastern Nazarene College, Mrs. Reese came to
Children’s School in 1983 as a teacher of the three year old class which she
taught until 1988. She returned to
Children’s School in 2004 after a sixteen year “maternity leave” to teach the
Pre-K four class which she did until October 2007. Mrs. Reese is in the process of earning her
Child Development Associate certificate at Harrisburg
Area Community College. Mrs. Reese
has been married to Dave since 1985 and is the mother of three teenagers:
Sean, Brian, and Kimberly. Mrs. Reese
is an active member of the |

Sharla Mixell, Teacher – 3 Pre-K Class Mrs. Mixell joined the Children’s
School in the fall of 2007. She is
happily married to Ray and has one daughter: Rayanne. They reside in Etters. Sharla attends the |

Joy
Shenk, Teacher - Nursery (3 & 4 Year-olds) Mrs. Shenk currently teaches the
Nursery Class. Joy has been with
Children's School of New Cumberland since 1997, working variously as a
substitute teacher, cook, and secretary.
Mrs. Shenk has been working with children for almost 15 years,
including severely handicapped children.
She served as church Nursery Director for six years working with
newborns through three year olds and their parents. Mrs. Shenk earned her Childhood Development
Certificate through Harrisburg Area Community
College. Joy is married and has
two wonderful sons, both of whom attended here. She has been an active volunteer at Fishing Creek Elementary
School for several years. They

Sean Reese, Teacher Aide - 4 Pre-K Class Sean is the son of Delores Reese,
the Kindergarten teacher here. He
graduated from Northern
High School and is currently a sophomore at Eastern
Nazarene College in |

Yolanda Driscoll, Teacher Aide - 3 Pre-K Class Mrs. Driscoll has been working for
the Children’s School since 2004 as an assistant teacher. She lives in New |

Jeannie Halford, Kindergarten Assistant Teacher Mrs. Halford became the
Kindergarten Assistant Teacher in the fall of 2006. She earned her Childhood Development
Certificate through Harrisburg Area Community
College in 2007. She is happily
married to Dave and has two daughters: |

Heather Sopp, Teacher Aide - 3 Pre-K Class Mrs. Sopp
helps the children of the 3 year-old class with all the fun things they are
learning about. |

Michael Sopp, Teacher Aide Mr. Sopp
helps out all the teachers and staff where ever needed. He is helps us in many areas from cooking
to helping in the classrooms. |

Denise Amato, Librarian Mrs. Amato serves as the Librarian and
helps the children with selecting appropriate reading materials (W.E.B.
books, etc) for all our kids. She is
married and lives in Camp Hill. |

met in 1988, were married in 1991 and are still going strong as ever. Heather
