New Cumberland Church of the Nazarene

Sunday School

The New Cumberland Church of the Nazarene offers Sunday School classes for children from birth through fifth grade.
Note:  During the Summer months, children enjoy a time of bonding and relationship building through our Summer F.U.N. program – "Friendship, Unity and a little Nonsense."  In a relaxed atmosphere, children play together, do crafts, enjoy and snack and have FUN!

Children’s Worship

During adult morning worship, we conduct four age appropriate children’s services:

1.      Toddler Worship (18 months to 3 years of age) - Toddlers learn about the love of Jesus through songs, games, stories, and simple crafts.

2.      Pre-JAM* Church (Pre-Kindergarten to 1st grade) - Interesting crafts, stories, skits, and games are used to show children that God loves and cares for them.

1.      JAM* Church (2nd to 5th grades) - Kids will help Pastor Judy plan and present sermons with object lessons, science experiments, special music performed by the kids and more as they learn how and why we worship.

4.      Quizzing – Studying the book of Acts.  Chances to earn medals and ribbons during quiz meets held once a month.  .

* Jesus and Me

Caravan

Wednesday nights (September through May), we present Caravan, which is a scouting-based program developed by the Church of the Nazarene.  Kids earn badges in physical, mental, social, and spiritual areas.

Choir

We have a children’s choir for ages 3 through 5th grade.  The children practice Saturday mornings and present musical numbers throughout the year in addition to an annual Christmas program.  Please contact the church office (717-774-6444) for times and locations.

Vacation Bible School

Our Vacation Bible School is available all summer long on Wednesday evenings.  Kids learn Biblical truths, which are reinforced with fun games, snacks, and crafts.
